Bemet High School Graduation Plans

The Illinois State Board of Education shared updated high school graduation guidelines May 1 and Bement High School will be able to continue with their original plans to honor the Class of 2020.

Bement High School is planning to present each student with their high school diploma individually.

Students may have up to 4 family members present during the individual presentation. This portion will be recorded.

Valedictorian/Salutatorian speeches and scholarship presentations will be recorded as well.

These components will be made into one video and will be shared virtually.

We are also planning a “Parade of Graduates” through town so families may congratulate and support the seniors while practicing social distancing.

The individual diploma presentations will be held on Friday, May 22 beginning at 5:00 PM and the “Parade of Graduates” will begin at 7:00 PM.

We are still working on the details for the parade and other components that will be included in the final video.
