Victor “Vic” Jinkins

Victor “Vic” Jinkins, 57, of Arcola, died at 2:14 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2020 at his residence in Arcola.

He was born September 13, 1962 in Mattoon, the son of Virtis and Sandra Sallee Jinkins.

Survivors include his best friend and partner, Debbie Fitts of Arcola; 4 children, Kyla (Josh) Childress of Mattoon; Jonathan Jinkins of Tuscola; Jerehmy (Terri) Vaughn of Arcola; Samantha (Larry) Brawner of Arcola; 6 grandkids, Ally, Trevor, Nick, Jerehmy Jr, Carson, Devyn; and Kaden; mother, Sandra Jinkins of Searcy, Arkansas; sister, Lydonna (Tom) Sullivan of Searcy, Arkansas; brother, Sam (Heidi) Jinkins of Naples, Florida; nephews, Bronson (Toria) Sullivan; Benjamin and Joshua Jinkins; and niece, Melissa Sullivan.  He was preceded in death by his father.

Vic was a graduate of Neoga High School Class of 1981.  He served in the Army National Guard where he was honorably discharged in 1986.  He was a paramedic for Shrader Ambulance Service for over 27 years.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service at a later date.  Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola, is assisting the family with arrangements.
